Twinned with Brighton, the London area of Shoreditch has just as much colour, vitality and creativity as its seaside counterpart and this weekend it's doing a Brighton and getting all free festival on us.

Taking place this Sunday 23rd June 2013, Rivington Street Festival is a free all-encompassing family friendly music and art day out in the heart of Shoreditch.
The event will run from 12 noon - 10pm, after which the outdoor stages will finish and the evening programming takes over within the local venues. Venues taking part include the Bar Music Hall, Bedroom Bar, Callooh Callay, Cargo, Juno, Nola, Shutterbug and The Strongrooms. All of which promising a selection of music and exhibitions, film screenings, stand-up comedy and spoken word.

Designed to showcase the ‘creative DNA’ of the area there is also Togethertheycome's specialist artisan market with a selection of hand-picked designers and artists ranging from fashion to jewellery to original art prints.

This year’s programming will be provided by a selection of the best unsigned local music acts, promoters and an ensemble of local DJ’s providing an audio ‘backdrop’ to the day’s events. Stony Browder Jr., Reggae Roast, DJ Mag Allstars, Lazy Talk, Alternative Dubstep Orchestra, DJ Switch, Bass6, DJ Captain Crunch, Boglewaltz, Livin Proof, Nu Northern Soul Records, Vibe Called Quest and the Rock The Belles DJs are just some of the musical talent taking centre stage on the day. While Remedy, will provide their collective of spoken word artists complimenting the live music, capturing the attention of the audience and inspiring thoughts.
